The past week in Palomar Athletics (2/9-2/16)

Comet men’s volleyball got their first win of the season as they hosted Moorpark at the Dome this past Friday. With both teams level at two going into the final set Palomar was able to withstand the Raiders comeback and win, 20-18. Freshman outside hitter Kyle Bass led the team with 19 kills while Freshman David McGuire provided 19 digs.

The men’s golf team finished fourth out of the field of eleven teams at the Los Serranos Golf Course (Chino Hills) Tee-Off Classic with a team score of 773. Freshman Connor Sims from Covington, WA shot a team-best 151 over the two-day tournament.

Another tough week for the Comet’s tennis team as two losses to Grossmont (Feb.10) and Mt. San Jacinto (Feb. 12) sees their record drop to 0-5 this season.
