Palomar’s Comets Commit Around the Nation.

SAN MARCOS – Since the new year, a total of eight Palomar College football players have been announced and displayed via Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/palomarfootball/?hl=en) for their commitment to a four-year university. These hard-working Comets are ready to take the next step in their football and academic career. Let’s celebrate their success!

MCPHERSON COLLEGE

Alex Hill, #21, is a sophomore at Palomar originally from Murrieta, CA who attended Vista Murrieta High School. Alex is 5 feet 8 inches and a Wide Receiver who has committed to McPherson College located in Kansas.

“I’m beyond grateful to say that I am committed to continue my education and football career at McPherson College!! This opportunity is something I’ve been working for my whole life, and Coach Knight and the rest of the coaching staff made it a no doubt decision that McPherson is my next home! UNIVERSITY OF UTAH

Frankie Goodson, #82, is a freshman at Palomar who came to campus all the way from Holladay, Utah. Frankie stands at 6 feet and plays as a tight end and has committed to the University of Utah as a PWO.

“I would like to thank Palomar College for giving me a second chance at playing the game I love. None of this would be possible without the amazing coaches, teammates, and athletic counseling that I had. Playing JUCO is not easy, but I can honestly say it was the best decision I have ever made. I will always be a proud Comet.” stated Goodson on his commitment, via this instagram post.

KANSAS WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY

Thomas Fishburne, #15, is a sophomore originally from Spring Valley, CA. Fishburne is 5 feet 11 inches, playing the position of Quarterback. Fishburne has committed to Kansas Wesleyan University, which is a private Christian University.

OLIVET NAZARENE UNIVERSITY

Ricky Johnson, #66, is a freshman coming to us right here from San Marcos, CA. With a height of 6 feet 2 Inches, Johnson plays as an Offensive Lineman who has committed to Olivet Nazarene University, a private university located in Illinois.

“After consistent prayer and consideration, I am blessed and honored to announce that I am 100% committed to Olivet Nazarene University to continue my academic and athletic career. I want to start off by giving all glory and credit to my Heavenly Father for watching over me and guiding me through my trials and my decisions … I also want to thank Palomar football and its coaches for helping me get here. LIBERTY UNIVERSITY

Marquis Bell, #1, is a freshman originally from Oceanside who attended El Camino High School. Bell is 5 feet 11 inches and a Defensive Back. Bell has committed to Liberty University, a private university located in Lynchburg, Virginia.

WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY

Rickie Davis Jr., #9, is a sophomore originally from Las Vegas, NV. Davis attended Arbor View High School before coming to California to continue his education at Palomar. Davis, standing at 6 feet is Safety who has committed to Western Kentucky University.

UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY

Devin Dye, #6, is a freshman at Palomar originally from San Diego, CA who attended Cathedral Catholic High School. Dye is 6 feet 1 inch and a Freshman Safety who has committed to Utah State University.
