Women’s Cross Country runs to state; Men have two individuals advance

Men’s and Women’s Cross Country competed in the CCCAA Regionals on Nov. 8.

The women finished in eighth place out of 28 teams and will move on to the state championships. The men finished 20 out of 28.

The women’s top runner was Alexia Delgadillo, who finished in tenth place with a time of 20:07. She was recognized as an all-regional runner for finishing in the top 14.

Freshman Addison Rose finished 18, sophomore Jolie Beentjes finished 40, Mila Beentjes finished 103, McKenna Brown finished 151 and Lessli Maldonado finished 153.

The men had two runners qualify for the state championship, Miguel Velasquez Campos and Maximus Collier. Campos finished 76 and Collier finished 79. 

The state championship will be held on Nov. 23 in Fresno, Calif.
