Halloween Graveyard Dessert

If you are going to a Halloween party this weekend and need a dessert to bring, this is the one to make. A chocolate graveyard, complete with Oreo cream cheese frosting, Oreo dirt, candy corn pumpkins, and Peeps gravestones. No matter your skill level, this dessert is for you. Start with your favorite chocolate base layer, I am slightly partial to a chocolate cake or brownie. I used a brownie for this since it is sturdier. Once your base layer is baked and cooled, it’s time to make the best part- the frosting.

Oreo cream cheese frosting:

– 12 oz cream cheese- softened

– 4 tbsp milk

– 4 tbsp vanilla

– dash of salt

– 10 cups powdered sugar

– 1/2 to 2/3 pack of Oreos

Put the cream cheese in a bowl with the milk, vanilla, and salt. Use a mixer to whip the cream cheese mixture. Slowly add the powdered sugar until you get a creamy frosting. Use a food processor to crush the Oreos. (If you do not have a food processor, place the Oreos in a bag and crush them into as fine of a dust as possible.) Once the Oreos have been crushed, add 2/3 of them to the cream cheese frosting. After mixed, spread the frosting over your cake or brownie base.

Once the frosting has covered the base layer, use your remaining crushed Oreos to make the dirt. Decorate the top with candy corn pumpkins and Peep gravestones. Take to your Halloween party and enjoy!
