TOP 5 NXT PROSPECTS

|BY WILL GLASBAND |

The current NXT roster is as stacked as it’s ever been, and due to that we have seen some truly amazing matches in this past year alone. 5. The Velveteen Dream

At only 22 years of age, the Velveteen Dream is practically a prodigy, with his exciting gimmick and above-average in-ring performances dazzling NXT crowds night in and night out. Who knew that this cocky kid from Tough Enough would soon become the sweetheart of WWE’s most fervent fanbase?

2. Andrade “Cien” Almas

The current NXT champion Andrade “Cien” Almas has been on an absolute tear these past few months. 1. Johnny Gargano

Johnny Gargano has connected with the WWE audience in an organic and powerful manner that we haven’t seen since Daniel Bryan’s run a few years ago. Gargano is the ultimate underdog with the ability to sell in-ring moves that would make the likes of Bret Hart blush, and he’ll continue to prove why he’s destined for greatness once he’s called up to the main roster.
