I SUBMITTED MUSIC, DID KKSM GET IT?

KKSM is a freeform station with the music being programmed by the show’s host.  We do have a “new arrivals” bin that our staff can pull music from. Chances are your music is in there and is available for our staff to play. If during the screening process there is profanity or is in violation of station policy, the music will be not be available.

WILL MY MUSIC GET PLAYED?

Music played on our shows is up to the discretion of the show’s host. If a host likes your music, they will play it.

WHAT HAPPENED TO MY FAVORITE SHOW?

KKSM changes its programming schedule three times a year usually in January, June, and August.  There are multiple reasons why a show may not appear on the new schedule but those reasons are personal and therefore not made public. Sometimes shows move around to different times to accommodate a host’s schedule or to allow flexibility to afford newer shows the same opportunity older shows were once given: the chance to be on the air in the first place. Staff also graduate from Palomar College and therefore end their show’s run on KKSM.

HOW DO I GET ON AIR?

There are multiple ways to host your own show at KKSM. Your first step is to reach out to our Station Manager Zeb Navarro at zeb@palomarcollegeradio.com to discuss your options. If you are a Palomar College student or community member wanting a show, you must first take the DBA130 class before you are allowed on-air. If you have a syndicated program and are interested in having your program on KKSM, please send a sample to zeb@palomarcollegeradio.com

DOES KKSM DO BLOCK PROGRAMMING?

KKSM does not do block programming.

HOW WOULD MY BUSINESS SPONSOR KKSM?

KKSM welcomes all underwriting and sponsorships. Our rates are very affordable and tax deductible. Please contact Station Manager Zeb Navarro at zeb@palomarcollegeradio.com for more information.
