Mac Miller passed away on September 7, 2018 after an overdose. This song was apart of his latest album, Swimming, which was released this year. Mac recently went through a rough breakup with fellow star Ariana Grande, after she got tired of his drug addiction. This song, Self Care, describes his struggles with drug addiction and how he wants to change so he can move on with his life as he pursues his dreams further. Just remember that money and fame don’t always lead to happiness, as Mac Miller would’ve attested to. RIP Mac Miller.
