The STEM Conference provides middle school students a conference experience where they are engaged in workshops, networking, and learning opportunities in the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics. Student registration is limited to the first 300 participants (150 girls and 150 boys) and the first 100 parents/educators. Students must be currently enrolled in 6th, 7th or 8th grade.

“This is our effort to create awareness early on, and make sure that students in our community know what STEM is all about,” said Mireya Gutierrez-Aguero, Supervisor of the STEM Center at Palomar College.

The conference includes interactive workshops, hands-on science experiments, information about STEM programs, a STEM Fair and more. Spanish translation is available for parents interested in learning more about STEM career pathways and how to support STEM learning at home.
