SAN MARCOS (July 23, 2024) – The number of students enrolled in courses at the Palomar College Education Center (Center) in Fallbrook have steadily grown over the last four academic terms.  With the increased enrollment, the Center is able to offer degree and certificate programs that students can complete in entirety at the Center.  All of the programs provide students with a pathway to high demand careers in public safety, mental health services, and teaching, all of which align with the workforce needs in the region.  Programs include:

  • Associate of Science degree and Certificate of Achievement in Fire Technology
  • Associate of Science degree in Administration of Justice
  • Certificate of Proficiency in Emergency Medical Technician
  • Associate degree for Transfer in Psychology
  • Associate degree for Transfer in Sociology
  • Associate Teacher Certificate of Achievement

The majority of Palomar College students work at least part-time while they pursue their educational goals.  With flexibility in mind, many of the course offerings are scheduled both onsite and online.  To further assist students in achieving their goals, the Center offers courses that can be completed in 8 weeks.  The Center also offers an extensive number of general education courses required within the 250 degree and certificate programs offered at Palomar College.
