SAN MARCOS, CA ― At the San Diego Film Awards on Sunday, April 8, PCTV added to an illustrious history of awards and nominations when its 2-minute promotional spot for Palomar’s Library & Information Technology program was named “Best Commercial” by Film Consortium San Diego.
Also nominated, for “Best Documentary,” was PCTV’s “Shadow of Drought,” which examines “a myriad of impacts resulting from climate change threatening Southern California’s imported water supply.”
“This is a wonderful recognition by the San Diego creative community of the great video production work done by PCTV,” said Jim Odom, Manager, Educational Television and KKSM Radio Operations.
Regarded as one of the finest community college TV studios in the U.S., the PCTV digital video production facility is designed to meet the needs of both PCTV and the Digital Broadcast Arts (DBA) academic program, which produces North County News, Prep Sports Live, and Palomar Live from the PCTV facility.
