SAN MARCOS (January 29, 2014) – There is still time to enroll in classes at Palomar College this semester.

A variety of Late Start and Fast Track classes provide a fast and affordable way to earn college credits and nearly 200 sections have space available this semester. Subject areas include math, history, business, political science, English, multicultural studies, Spanish, and Computer Science (to name just a few).  Spring Late Start classes have various start dates from February to May; Fast Track II classes begin the last week in March; all spring classes end by the third week in May.

A small sampling of the specific classes that are still open includes:

Core classes: English Composition, Beginning Algebra, U.S. through Reconstruction (History).

Business Administration: Keyboarding, Word for Business – Advanced, Beyond Outlook Essentials (electronic calendaring).

Multicultural Studies: Race, Class, and Ethnic Groups.

Computer Science and Information Systems: Linux Networking and Security, Computer Concepts/Applications, Cisco WAN Design/Support

Graphic Communications: Graphic Communications, History/Graphic Communications, History of the Book/Publishing

World Languages: Spanish IB

Speech: Oral Communication

Students may complete the online application for admission and register for classes athttp://www.palomar.edu. Tuition for California residents is $46 per credit unit.

High school students age 15 and up can acquire units toward high school graduation or start earning college credits through basic general education courses. Tuition is free for currently enrolled public school students. High school students who wish to enroll in Palomar College classes must submit a K-12 Student/Graduation Verification of Minor form and a Health Services Consent for Treatment of Minor Student form, available through area high schools or online at www.palomar.edu/enroll.htm.
