SAN MARCOS (September 27, 2013) – It’s not too late to enroll in Palomar College classes this fall.

A variety of Late Start and Fast Track classes provide a fast and affordable way to earn college credits and more than 100 classes have space available this semester. Subject areas include math, economics, history, business, political science, English, multicultural studies, Spanish, and CSIS (to name just a few).  Fall Late Start and Fast Track open classes have various start dates in October and November, and end December 12-16.

A small sampling of the specific classes that are still open includes:

Core classes: English Composition, Prealgebra, Beginning Algebra, and U.S.through Reconstruction (History).

Business Administration: Basic Word, Advanced Word, PowerPoint, Project, Beyond Outlook Essentials (electronic calendaring), Voice Recognition and Job Search.

Multicultural Studies: Introduction to Judaism II – Culture, Introduction to African American Studies and Islamic Cultures and Traditions.

Computer Science and Information Systems: Linux Shell Scripting, Computer Concepts/Applications, Cisco Router Configuration

Graphic Communications: Digital Imaging/Photoshop IA

World Languages: Spanish IA, Spanish II

Speech: Oral Communication

Tuition for California residents is $46 per credit unit. For additional information go tohttp://www.palomar.edu.

High school students age 15 and up can acquire units toward high school graduation or start earning college credits through basic general education courses. Tuition is free for currently enrolled public school students. High school students who wish to enroll in Palomar College classes must submit a K-12 Student/Graduation Verification of Minor form and a Health Services Consent for Treatment of Minor Student form, available through area high schools or online at www.palomar.edu/enroll.htm.
