Details:

“That’s What She Said” is a multimedia exhibition inspired by the work of four women and their independent explorations into womanhood, power structures and myths about the female experience. Exhibiting artists include Raheleh Filsoofi, Michelle Montjoy, Helen Redman and Sien Collective.

Artwork on display in the show includes:

  • Large-scale cyanotypes (Sien Collective)
  • Embroidery on linen (Montjoy)
  • Traditional portraiture (Redman)
  • Ceramics (Filsoofi)

“The show hopefully imparts a greater appreciation for the nuance and complexity of what it is to be a woman, in addition to acknowledging the diversity and breadth of artists who are female—their strengths and talents,” said show curator and Palomar College Professor Sasha Jonestein.

The opening reception will include a gallery talk at 2 p.m. “That’s What She Said” runs from Aug. 30 through Sept. 26 at Boehm, and admission is always free.

Cost:

Free.
