The Office of Student Life and Leadership receives an approved list of graduates from the Office of Evaluations and Records around mid-April. We recommend that all guests are seated by 4:30PM to ensure your presence at the start of the ceremony. To provide additional insight into the day, please watch the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=26zlsFirXJ4\">Guest Commencement Overview<\/a> video.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tickets_and_Seating\"><\/span>Tickets and Seating<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Due to stadium capacity, the number of guest tickets per graduate will depend on graduate RSVPs. We anticipate allocating 3\u20134 complimentary tickets per graduate. Graduates will be able to add their name to a guest ticket waitlist upon registration.<\/li>\n<li>An email will be sent to eligible graduates with information on how to RSVP and reserve guest tickets. We estimate that this email will be sent around mid\/late April.<\/li>\n<li>Tickets will be required for guest entry to the Commencement ceremony.<\/li>\n<li>Commencement is held at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/about\/san-marcos-campus\/?location=football_stadium\">New Football Stadium<\/a> with stadium seating.<\/li>\n<li>Seating is limited and out of respect for all we ask that guests do not save seats.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Parking_is_free\"><\/span>Parking is free<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Please park in lots 3, 5, 9 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/about\/san-marcos-campus\/?location=lot12\">lot 12<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Disabled parking is available in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/about\/san-marcos-campus\/?location=lot1and2\">Lot 1 &amp; 2<\/a> for those who have a DMV approved placard or license plate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Length_of_ceremony\"><\/span>Length of ceremony<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The length of the ceremony is dependent upon several variables however, it is generally under 2 hours.\u00a0 We ask that out of respect for all graduates that you stay until the ceremony is completed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Livestream\"><\/span>Livestream<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p data-start=\"355\" data-end=\"561\">The ceremony will be livestreamed and available on the day of the event for family and friends who are unable to attend in person. Gowns should be zipped up at all times\u00a0during the ceremony.<br \/>\n<strong>CAP:\u00a0 <\/strong><span style=\"font-size: inherit\">The cap should be worn straight and\u00a0pulled down over the forehead. You may need to use bobby pins to keep your cap on. Caps should also be worn at all times during the ceremony, except during the National Anthem (men). The tassel should be draped over the left front quarter of the cap.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you are borrowing regalia from a sibling or friend, please make sure it matches the black cap and gowns that are sold at the bookstore.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Commencement_Day_Dress_Code\"><\/span>Commencement Day Dress Code<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<h5><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Wear_Proper_Footwear_Seriously_wear_the_proper_footwear_You_will_be_standing_for_a_period_of_time_and_you_will_be_walking_on_potentially_uneven_ground_For_your_safety_graduates_are_strongly_urged_not_to_wear_high_heels_Wedge_heels_and_flats_are_highly_recommended_Decorating_your_Cap_Graduates_are_allowed_to_decorate_their_caps_for_the_ceremony\"><\/span>Wear Proper Footwear<br \/>\nSeriously, wear the proper footwear!
