{"id":8,"date":"2014-01-27T20:56:17","date_gmt":"2014-01-27T20:56:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/pages\/aholmes\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2026-02-04T13:27:04","modified_gmt":"2026-02-04T21:27:04","slug":"sample-page","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/ssec\/","title":{"rendered":"About the Student Success &amp; Equity Council"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">The Student Success &amp; Equity Council (SSEC) served as a steering committee that led the development of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/ssec\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/262\/2016\/01\/Palomar-College-2015-16-SSSP-Credit-Program-Plan-wAttachments-wBudget.pdf\">Student Success and Support Program (SSSP) Plan <\/a>and the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/ssec\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/262\/2016\/02\/PalomarCollege_Student_Equity_Plan_2015-16_FINAL_wSignatures.pdf\">Student Equity Plan 2014-2017<\/a> for the District.<\/p>\n<p>SSEC assisted in preparing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/ssec\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/262\/2016\/01\/Palomar-College-2015-16-SSSP-Credit-Program-Plan-wAttachments-wBudget.pdf\">Student Success and Support Program (SSSP) Plan<\/a> and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/ssec\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/262\/2016\/02\/PalomarCollege_Student_Equity_Plan_2015-16_FINAL_wSignatures.pdf\">Student Equity Plan 2014-2017<\/a> , monitoring the District&#8217;s progress toward meeting the goals in each plan, and reviewed and updated each plan as needed.&nbsp; The SSE Council coordinated its activities with those of the other Planning Councils, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/curriculum\/\">Curriculum Committee<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/enrollmentservices\/registration-committee\/\">Registration Committee,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/committees\/eeoc\/\">EEO Advisory Committee<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/bsi-hsi\/\">Basic Skills Committee<\/a> and other District committees as necessary.<\/p>\n<p>The Student Success &amp; Equity Council reported to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/strategicplanning\/SPC.html\">Strategic Planning Council<\/a> and was chaired by the Vice President of Instruction, the Faculty Senate President and the Vice President of Student Services.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Student Success &amp; Equity Council (SSEC) served as a steering committee that led the development of the Student Success and Support Program (SSSP) Plan and the&nbsp;Student Equity Plan 2014-2017 for the District.
