Free QPR Training for students and staff
May 10, 2016 @ 5:00 pm - May 11, 2016 @ 6:30 am PDT
In the U.S., one person dies by suicide every 16 minutes. In San Diego County, one person dies by suicide every day. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, QPR trains in how to recognize warning signs, what questions to ask and how often to offer hope and help to someone in a suicide crisis. Learn this emergency intervention and help save a life!
Free “QPR: Question, Persuade, and Refer” Training for Suicide Prevention & Intervention is offered at Palomar College on Wed., May 11th from 12:00pm to 1:30pm in Room H-218. Training funded by the County of San Diego and offered for FREE on behalf of the San Diego County Suicide Prevention Council.
