The Psychology Club and Psi Beta National Honor Society at Palomar run in concert and hold joint meetings on the second Friday of the month from 11:30-12:30pm.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/palomar-edu.zoom.us\/j\/97620150571\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Use this Zoom link<\/a> to attend). The Psychology club is open to any Palomar student with an interest in psychology, regardless of major. There are some specific academic requirements for joining Psi Beta, described below. Being active in both looks great for transfer applications and research shows that students who are active on their campuses tend to do better academically. Win! So, get involved and have some fun in psychology. In addition to the information below, check out the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/clubs\/psychology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Psychology Club and Psi Beta website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Psi_Beta_National_Honor_Society\"><\/span>Psi Beta National Honor Society<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Psi Beta is the national honor society in psychology at the Community College level. \u00a0Its four-year university counterpart is Psi Chi. \u00a0The mission of Psi Beta is to encourage professional development and psychological literacy of all students at two-year colleges through promotion and recognition of excellence in scholarship, leadership, research, and community service. \u00a0To learn more about the National Psi Beta Organization, visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/psibeta.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Psi Beta website<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Psychology Club and Palomar chapter of Psi Beta meetings give students an opportunity to participate in activities related to psychology and hear guest speakers from various subfields in psychology.
