The mission of the Marketing, Communications, Public Affairs, and Creative Services department is to build and maintain awareness and enhance the image of the Palomar Community College District through effective marketing strategy, internal and external communications, brand centric design and quality service.<\/p>\n
While we use many trade-specific tools and methods to fulfill our mission, and general responsibilities are:<\/p>\n
The Public Affairs Office keeps a pulse on the community\u2019s perceptions of Palomar College and takes active steps to convey the excellent teaching, responsible stewardship, high-level student support and inspirational success stories taking place every day at Palomar College. We also manage our government relations strategy, inclusive of meetings with legislators and their staff, planned visits to our campus and education centers, and in collaboration with regional, state and federal higher education organizations, we advocate for our institution, students and higher education in general.\u00a0 Face-to-face interactions, printed publications, opinion-leader networks, speaking engagements, media outreach, and survey research are just a few of the methods we use to meet these objectives.<\/p>\n
The Public Affairs Office is a public information \u201chub\u201d for employees and community members alike, responding to requests for information, proactively working to pass on district news, and assisting other departments with communication and marketing efforts. Press releases, digital media, social media, the website, and presentations are just a few of the tools we use to meet these objectives.<\/p>\n
The Public Affairs Office works to market the many unique programs available to our community, including fine academic programs leading to four-year colleges and Associate Degree and Certificate programs. We use paid traditional and digital advertising, signage opportunities, partnerships with community organizations, and other strategies for convincing all potential students that Palomar offers a first-rate educational program that\u2019s right for them \u2013 wherever they are in life.<\/p>\n
The Creative Services team is an integral part of the Public Affairs Office.\u00a0 Creative Services works with internal audiences to bring their promotional ideas to market.\u00a0 The work includes expert level graphic design, consultation on achieving the result desired through graphic design, copy writing, and production of signage, collateral, and specialty items.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
