Join us for Virtual Welcome Days at Palomar College<\/strong> and get ready to start your college experience this fall! Palomar Promise, EOPS and TRIO SSS are excited to invite you to the Palomar community with our virtual Welcome Day events. Welcome Day is a great first step to support your successful transition as a new<\/strong> <\/em>Palomar College student or successful return as a continuing<\/strong> <\/em>Palomar College student.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Welcome Days at Palomar College is a several-day virtual<\/strong> <\/em>event which will be held starting July 24 through August 14 via Zoom<\/strong>. We are featuring virtual workshops covering a range of topics including a collection of pre-recorded videos that you can view anytime!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Why Participate?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u2022 Meet staff, counselors and administrators from across campus to learn about the various resources and support programs available to you as a Palomar College student.
\n\u2022 Attending Welcome Days is essential for all new Palomar Promise, TRIO SSS and EOPS students to learn how they can thrive and be successful at Palomar College.<\/p>\n

Registration Details:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u2022 Review the Welcome Day agenda below and find the sessions you plan to attend.
\n\u2022 Click on the \u201cRegister\u201d button below the workshop description.
\n\u2022 Fill out the pre-registration form and submit. Within a couple of minutes, you will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom meeting details and link to join the workshop via Zoom.
\n\u2022 To help you organize your schedule, we encourage you to add all the Zoom events to your calendar as you will need to access these links the day of the event.
\n\u2022 Please note each virtual workshop has its own Zoom URL, and you must register in advance to join.<\/p>\n

Palomar Promise Welcome Session - Year 1 Updates<\/h2>\n
\n\tJoin us to meet the Promise team as we welcome you to Palomar College as a first year student. Our team will share our vision and the resources and support available through Palomar Promise.\u00a0 In this session, we will discuss what you need to do to maintain your Promise eligibility for Year 1 and Year 2, review requirements, and have a Q\/A session at the end of the presentation. We will also provide helpful tips on what to expect during your first week.

Navigating the college system can be a challenge for any new student and with distance learning, there are additional factors to be aware of in order to be successful. Not to worry, after this workshop, you will feel prepared and ready to start your courses and have a successful fall semester.<\/p>\n
