Units earned as a high school student through dual\/concurrent enrollment are exempt.<\/li>\n<li>Be a California resident or from an eligible exempt group (i.e. AB 540 or military dependent)<\/li>\n<li>Complete, submit and have on record with Palomar College the Official 2026-27 FAFSA or California Dream Act application; must include the Palomar College school code: 001260.<\/li>\n<li>Complete the Palomar Promise application located in your MyPalomar student portal (click Financials tab)<\/li>\n<li>Enroll full-time\u00a0 (a minimum of 12 units)\u00a0 or units approved by the Disability Resource Center (DRC), including:\n<ul>\n<li>Transfer level math and\/or English during the first semester and both completed by the end of the first year.\n<ul>\n<li>Students who have a disability which interferes with taking a full course load may be eligible for accommodations, including a waiver of the 12 unit requirement, through the Palomar College&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/drc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Disability Resource Center (DRC)<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To be eligible for 2026 -2027 Palomar Promise, applicants must: Be a first-time (any) college student starting fall 2026 semester.
