Slaves who were happy to work for them. That twisted history is also shared with schoolchildren on class trips. And you won\u2019t believe who\u2019s funding these site to keep them running.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, the story of New Mexico\u2019s great monument controversy. In 1998, the state was set to celebrate its \u201ccuartocentenario:\u201d the 400th anniversary of the state\u2019s colonization by the Spanish.
