DESCRIPTION:Inspiring Journeys: Mendelssohn Symphony No 3 “Scottish”\nPalomar Symphony Orchestra\nDirected by Ellen Weller  \nSaturday\, May 29 at 7 p.m. \nHoward Brubeck Theatre \nAt the age of 20\, Felix Mendelssohn embarked on a visit to Great Britain. As he walked through the Scottish countryside\, taking in the history and the ruins of that fascinating landscape he heard in his mind the beginning of a noble and mournful introduction. The 3rd symphony was not finished until 13 years later and was the last symphony he finished (but was the 3rd to be published). Join us for our final concert as we explore the nature of inspiration and the mystery of musical creativity.
