GREETINGS FROM THE RED PLANET

By Natalie Ann Valentine

Friday, September 30 2022 – October 9 2022

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, at 7:30 p.m., Sunday at 2:30 p.m. (ST)

A QUEER SPACE ODYSSEY FOR THE FUTURE OF OUR SPECIES

In the not-so-distant future, Arin, a gender fluid barista, finds themselves on a one-way trip to live on Mars while Earth races towards climate collapse.  Alone on the spaceship Resilience, Arin experiences the weirdness of time, as their past, present and future collide to reveal the power of vulnerability, honesty, human connection and resilience on a frail and failing planet.

We are thrilled to be presenting the first full production of this transcendent new play. This play takes a journey to inner and outer space that is both epic and personal.  Natalie has managed to intertwine so many relevant and urgent themes in the struggles of one dynamic and imperfect character.  Arin experiences the isolation and despair that so many of us are familiar with today as we climb our way out of the pandemic, and their trajectory toward forgiveness and redemption brings a profound understanding of our resilience in the face of all these crises in front of us.
