If you’re enrolled in an online section of my Religious Studies or Philosophy classes, here are some things to keep in mind:
- We will not have a face to face orientation. I will post an online version of the orientation with the week one materials.
- All exams occur online from the class website (via Canvas).
- Discussion posts and short writing assignments are active learning components to the class.
- One research paper is required.
- The best way to communicate with me is through the “Conversations (Inbox)” tool in Canvas or by way of email at cforney@palomar.edu.
RS 101, World Religions
RS 101 fulfills GE Humanities credit for the AA degree at Palomar and for undergraduate degrees at CSU/UC institutions.

RS 102, Religion in American History and RS 103, Religion and American Political Institutions
RS 102 and RS 103 together fulfill the American History and Institutions district requirement
