SAN MARCOS \u2014 The annual President\u2019s Invitational Golf Classic, hosted by the Palomar College Foundation, is set to make a comeback at the Maderas Golf Club in Poway on Monday, October 25.<\/p>\n
The tournament represents the largest annual fund-raiser for the nonprofit Foundation, and was held virtually as a \u201cno-show\u201d event campaign in 2020 due to COVID-19. Tickets to the 2021 Golf Classic may be purchased, with five levels of sponsorship for participating players and organizations.<\/p>\n
This year, the event is being held in conjunction with an online auction featuring 21 premier items that will be available for bid starting October 14 and ending on the day of the tournament.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe President\u2019s Invitational Golf Classic is a chance to change a life,\u201d said Palomar College Foundation Executive Director Stacy Rungaitis. \u201cOur supporters have always loved the tournament because it\u2019s a great way to raise funds for a worthy cause while enjoying a day on the course.\u201d<\/p>\n
The \u201cscramble\u201d style Golf Classic is usually held in May, but was rescheduled because of concerns over the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.<\/p>\n
