For the third year in a row, Palomar College has ranked among the best institutions of higher learning, according to a national news magazine.<\/p>\n
SAN MARCOS \u2014 Palomar College has been selected as one of the \u201cTop 25 Community Colleges Enrolling the Largest Number of Hispanics\u201d in the U.S. and was featured in the Feb. 22, 2021 edition of The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education<\/i>.<\/p>\n
The national rankings place Palomar at 21st for overall enrollment of Hispanic students, based on statistics from the U.S. Department of Education\u2019s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) and Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) databases.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a Hispanic-Serving Institution, Palomar College has made great strides in recent years to support the large number of Latinx students who are pursuing their goals and achieving success at Palomar,\u201d said Interim Superintendent\/President Dr. Jack Kahn. \u201cWe are honored to be counted among the community colleges in the U.S. serving the most Latinx students.\u201d<\/p>\n
Also known as Hispanic Outlook on Education<\/i>, the journal\u2019s website describes it as a \u201cnational monthly magazine that provides education news, innovations, networking, resources and the latest trends impacting students from kindergarten through graduate school all while maintaining a unique Hispanic perspective.\u201d<\/p>\n
