It is with this data in mind that Palomar College is continuing to prioritize the health and safety of students, faculty and staff by expanding onsite instruction for specific programs, while maintaining strict adherence to all COVID-19 prevention guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Palomar College community continues to do its part to slow the spread of this virus,\u201d said Interim Superintendent\/President Dr. Jack Kahn. \u201cWe will proceed in an abundance of caution, mindful of the fact that some courses need physical classroom time more than others and serve essential industries in our region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The following academic programs will offer both online and on-site instruction in spring 2021:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Policy Academy<\/li>\n<li>Fire Academy<\/li>\n<li>EME\/Paramedics<\/li>\n<li>Nursing<\/li>\n<li>Dental Assisting<\/li>\n<li>Cabinet and Furniture Technology<\/li>\n<li>Welding<\/li>\n<li>Diesel Mechanics Technology<\/li>\n<li>Auto Body<\/li>\n<li>Auto Tech<\/li>\n<li>Air Conditioning<\/li>\n<li>Water Technology and Wastewater Technology<\/li>\n<li>Drone Technology<\/li>\n<li>BIOL 212<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The college is also awaiting guidance from the California Community College Athletics Association how to offer competitive athletics and training programs.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Kahn emphasized that Palomar College reserves the right to revise the spring 2021 schedule, depending on the status of the health crisis in the region.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some classes will resume on-site instruction, but most will continue in a remote format, as college continues to navigate the COVID-19 health crisis.
