The total amount of the scholarship endowment is $51,000, divided between the $25,000 Floyd Malin Memorial Fire Academy Scholarship and the $26,000 William Hitt Fire Academy Scholarship.

This year’s scholarship winners were announced at the Palomar College Fire Academy graduation on May 13. James Nava was awarded the Floyd Malin Scholarship, and Dustin Walker was awarded the William Hitt Scholarship, each of them receiving $500. Two more recipients for these scholarships will be selected in fall 2015.
