Palomar College will host a drive-through distribution event to provide hundreds of students with laptops, printing cards and other resources to facilitate remote learning.

As part of its commitment to student success through remote learning, Palomar College will be distributing hundreds of laptops, wireless hotspots, webcams and printing cards to students who are currently enrolled in the spring semester. The drive-through distribution event is funded by $315,563 from the federal CARES Act, and will support students in their remote learning experience, as COVID-19 restrictions remain in place.

Some 360 students have signed up to receive equipment during the event, which will be held in Lot 12. Lot 12 can be accessed using the campus entrance off Las Posas Road and Avenida Azul.

The distribution includes:

  • 200 hotspots for improved service to students lacking internet access
  • 400 laptops to those without reliable computers
  • 100 webcams for students with computers that do not have a camera and/or microphone
  • 200 Office Depot printing cards to facilitate the printing of course materials

Directions and Parking:

The distribution event will be held in Parking Lot 12. From Mission Road, go north on Las Posas Road and turn right on Avenida Azul to access the main campus entrance and Lot 12.
