This year’s charitable giving event is scheduled for Dec. 3. Funds will help the Palomar College Foundation provide students with scholarships, textbook assistance and emergency grants.

SAN MARCOS, CA — As the season for charitable giving begins, the Palomar College Foundation will be doubling every dollar donated as part of this year’s Giving Tuesday, set for Dec. 3. Donations will be accepted online at www2.palomar.edu/foundation. Foundation representatives will also be reaching out to current and potential donors throughout the day to encourage their participation in this worthy campaign.

“Both campus and community donors have a history of generous support for Giving Tuesday,” said the Foundation’s Executive Director, Stacy Rungaitis. “Gifts on Giving Tuesday are representative of local philanthropy at its best. The money we raise is used entirely to help Palomar College students succeed in pursuit of their education and career training.”

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage giving and celebrate generosity worldwide. At Palomar College, funds donated to the Foundation on Giving Tuesday help provide scholarships, textbook assistance and emergency grants.
