The 2025 President’s Invitational Golf Classic on October 20, 2025, was a tremendous success, raising $178,000 to support the core programs of the Palomar College Foundation. The Foundation works to inspire individual, business and foundation philanthropic support to remove financial barriers and provide essential educational resources for students, assuring equal access to success for all Palomar College students. In addition to direct student support, the Foundation’s mission includes support of college and faculty initiatives that
enhance the educational experience of Palomar College students.
“This achievement is a testament to our dedicated committee led by Tyler Steele, Project Executive at Balfour Beatty. The enthusiasm of the committee was directly related to the new level of energy and excitement among everyone who participated in the tournament,” said Foundation Executive Director, Stacy Rungaitis. The Committee worked tirelessly to identify sponsors, who generously took advantage of supporting the mission of the Foundation.
The event held on October 20 at the Country Club of Rancho Bernardo generated a 20% increase in funds raised over last year and a 60% increase in the number of participants. The Foundation is a source of scholarships and emergency grants for Palomar College students. In 2025, $1 million dollars will be distributed to help students achieve their educational goals.
