Are you a history buff? Or are you aspiring to be one? Check out this new addition to our database collection to experience the magic of history through primary resources. This database contains over 500 digitized items from the Civil War era. Find personal narratives and memoirs, pamphlets and political speeches, sermons and songs, regimental histories and photograph albums, legal treatises and even children’s books.
Many topics are explored such as battles and campaigns, politics and religion, the experiences of leaders and common soldiers, the home front and the military campground, as well as the causes of war and its consequences.
Find “Sources in U.S. History: The Civil War” on Palomar College Libraries articles page under both Arts and Humanities and Behavioral Sciences tab. If you are accessing databases off-campus, eservices login and password are required.
