The 2nd annual Palomar Library prom dress drive wrapped up on Friday and it was a success! We were able to collect formalwear to help make prom special for area high school girls. Here’s the final tally:
- 1 pair prom of shoes
- 1 formal skirt
- 2 formal pant suits
- 39 prom dresses
These items have been delivered to the Vista Library, where area teens will “shop” for them. Including our donations, the Vista Library collected 421 dresses!
A big thank you to all of you in the Palomar College community that donated. More thanks to the local businesses that donated: Steinmart in Temecula for hangers and CJ Cleaners in Escondido and Marketplace Cleaners in San Marcos for dry cleaning bags. Finally, a big thanks to Katherine Gannett who put this drive together. To the girls shopping the dresses this year- have a wonderful prom!
