In support of the College’s general education curriculum, the library is now offering instructional sessions that focus on the Campus Explorations theme, the Environment and Sustainable Living: Global Crises and Solutions. Instructors, student groups and others are encouraged to come to the library for a discussion on the conflicting research and news reports regarding the environment and sustainable living. For example, hybrid cars are the rave, but some sources say the cost of the production is not worth the benefit of driving one. Discussion on conflicting sources of information will be followed by instruction on how to find and evaluate information about the environment and sustainable living. If we believe it’s our responsibility to save the earth, it’s also our right and responsibility to be informed about how to save it.
To schedule a session, please complete the library instruction request form or contact Katy French at email@example.com or ext. 3640. We can also customize the session to support specific course assignments and student learning outcomes.
We look forward to hearing from you!
