The event turned out to be pretty festive, with a great sense of community, and the visitors from all over were respecting the town and the authority of the police officers and military personnel who were trying to keep the peace (except for the public urination guy). What started out as a joke turned out to be a really great opportunity for alien enthusiasts to get to know each other and have fun.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Some 3,000 visitors stormed not Area 51, but the town nearest, Rachel, Nevada, with a population of about 40. The locals weren\u2019t too excited about the sudden influx of visitors, with a sign in front of one of the homes stating \u201cGO HOME. NO ALIENSTOCK.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. The original Facebook event \u201cStorm Area 51, they can\u2019t stop all of us\u201d was cancelled by the creator, Matty Roberts, a 20 year old from Bakersfield, California. He then moved it to an outdoor venue in Las Vegas, dubbing it \u201cAlienstock\u201d. It had an estimated crowd of between 1,500 and 2,000 attendees.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. Only 6 arrests were made during the event. Only 5 were for trespassing, while the last one was for public urination. There were no deaths. People just came to have fun and weird out.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. The U.S. Militaries tweet: \u201cThe last thing #Millenials will see if they attempt the #area51raid today\u201d posted with a picture of military officers in front of a stealth bomber. The tweet has since been taken down, and an apology tweet went out a day later.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
