Activities include treadmill, stair-master, stationary biking, rowing, and elliptical machines. Individualized tests determine the cardio-respiratory conditioning program and the level of performance expected to improve overall health and fi\u00adtness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">KINE 128B: Wellness Modalities-Muscular<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Physical conditioning through individualized resistance training programs. Focus is on muscular strength, muscular endurance and core training. Activities may include, but are not limited to body weight exercises, calisthenics, weight machines, resistance bands, kettle balls, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">KINE 128C: Wellness Modalities- Functional<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Functional fi\u00adtness training designed to apply directly to students individual fi\u00adtness goals. Activities include but are not limited to exercises aimed to assist in performing activities of daily living, sport-speci\u00adfic training, rehabilitative programs, etc. based on the individuals physical abilities and\/or physical limitations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">KINE 128D: Wellness Modalities- Periodization<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Physical conditioning through the components of physical fitness; cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance and flexibility. Initial \u00adfitness measurements determine the conditioning program, level of performance, and planned variations in individualized programs to improve overall \u00adfitness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">KINE 128 FAQs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>How much is it to join?<\/em><\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Since it is a 1 unit class, it is the same cost as any other 1 unit. If you qualify for Palomar Promise of Financial Aid \u2013 it\u2019s FREE!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>What is the&nbsp;Student Activity&nbsp;Card and where can I obtain one?<\/em><\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It is your Palomar Student Identification Card, same as your Student Activity Card and can be obtained at SU-19 for a $15 fee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>If I don\u2019t have my Palomar student I.D. card, can I still attend and work out in the WFC?<\/em><\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>No, your Palomar student I.D. card is mandatory. This is how your attendance is tracked and recorded.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Once I am registered, can I show up and start working out?<\/em><\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>No. You must first complete a mandatory orientation which will explain the policies and requirements of the class.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>When and where are orientation held and do I need to make an appointment?<\/em><\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Orientations are conducted in the Wellness Center during the first two weeks of the semester at the top of each hour. No appointment necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>What do I need for orientation?<\/em><\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You first need be registered in one of the Kinesiology 128 sections. &nbsp;You must have your&nbsp;student I.D.&nbsp;card with you which will verify your enrollment. If you are not registered and\/or do not have your&nbsp;student activity&nbsp;card at time of orientation, you will not be able to complete your orientation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>What are the hours of the class?<\/em><\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It is an open entry, self- paced lab.
