Palomar College promotes equal access for all its employees. Understanding the steps in this process is essential.<\/p>\n

1) Accommodation Request<\/h2>\n

I will request services by completing and submitting an Employee Accommodation Form<\/a> located on the Human Resource Services webpage. This step only needs to be completed once, unless the nature of the accommodation that I need changes. HR will work with me to approve this accommodation so that I may move to the next step in the ASL Interpreting\/CART request process.<\/p>\n

3) Service Responsibilities<\/h2>\n

As the recipient of accessibility services you will have certain responsibilities.<\/p>\n

Service Cancellation<\/h3>\n

interpretercoord@palomar.edu<\/a>. The IC must have at least 24 hours\u2019 notice to cancel ASL Interpreting\/CART services unless due to illness or medical emergency. More notice is appreciated, if possible. <\/span>Please do not tell your assigned interpreter directly to cancel services \u2013 this process is coordinated through the IC\u2019s office.<\/span><\/label><\/p>\n

Service Provider Concerns<\/h3>\n

Preferred Interpreter<\/h3>\n

Submit requests for preferred interpreters in writing or via email using a Palomar College email address (including the reason for the request) to the IC. The IC office will do its best to accommodate specific preferences.<\/span><\/p>\n
