He completed his Bachelor's Degree in psychology at Miami University of Ohio and earned both his Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and Doctoral Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at The Chicago School in Southern California. Tim has worked at Mt San Antonio College for the past 8 years as a mental health clinician in addition to teaching as adjunct faculty at Hope International University and University of the West. She started her career as a nurse on a bone marrow transplant and cancer unit in San Francisco. After becoming an NP, her focus has been family primary care with an international focus, having lived and worked overseas as a Health Educator in a refugee camp in Sudan, Peace Corps Medical Officer, and American Embassy Medical Provider in various countries around the world.<\/p>\n<p>Sarah has been providing health care to Palomar College students as the health center Nurse Practitioner for the last six years and has discovered a new passion in doing so\u2026providing informative health care to a diverse group of young adults facing life\u2019s challenges. \u00a0Sarah\u2019s interests outside of the office include exploring and traveling to \u201coff the beat and track\u201d places in the world, hiking, cycling, swimming, and skiing, and loves music and art.<\/p>\n<p>Sarah is now looking forward to her new role as the Interim Student Health Services Director. \u00a0She officially began in her role May 15, 2024, and will serve until we can recruit and fill the position permanently in 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div> <!-- Close staff-member --><div class=\"staff-member even clearfix\">\r\n<div class=\"staff-member-row\">\r\n <div class=\"staff-member-image-container\">\r\n    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"staff-member-photo staff-member-image-responsive-wide\" src=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/healthservices\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2015\/12\/SHC-logo.jpg\" alt=\"Kimberlee Ahinger : Student Health Administrative Assistant\">\r\n <\/div>\r\n <div class=\"staff-member-info-wrap staff-member-info-container \">\r\n        <h3 class=\"staff-member-name\">Kimberlee Ahinger<\/h3>\r\n        <h4 class=\"staff-member-position\">Student Health Administrative Assistant<\/h4>\r\n        <div class=\"staff-member-bio\"><p>Kimberlee is a former Palomar College student with an AA in Business Administration. Her background is in Healthcare Administration and Accounting. She attended American River College, Cal State Sacramento and Cal State Fullerton for her education. When Lenka moved to southern California in 2005, she discovered her passion for college health as she started her career in Student Health and Counseling Services at Cal Sate Fullerton and then Cal State San Marcos. She was born and raised in Southern California and absolutely loves spending time with her family as much as possible. Her background is in the health care field; with over 20 years\u2019 experience in varied clinical and administrative office settings from supporting the Executive Team at our local Palomar Hospital to working in Medical Research. She is a San Diego native, enjoys the outdoors with her husband and two boys.
