In honor of Black History Month, Palomar College Student Health Center is hosting an educational workshop provided by the San Diego Black Nurses Association. We invite the Palomar College community to join us on March 16th for this educational session about breast cancer awareness ….
“Keeping Abreast of Our Needs”
Date: Friday, March 16, 2018
Time: 10am to 2pm
Location: Palomar College, Governing Board Room (SSC-1)
Parking: Free parking in Visitor/Staff Lots 1 and 2
To Register: https://www.eventbrite.com/o/san-diego-black-nurses-association-inc-16520697999
African American women are more likely than white women to be diagnosed with breast cancer under the age of 45. This is compounded by increased mortality rates for African American women nationally and in San Diego County. Furthermore, African American women are more likely to develop triple negative breast cancers than their Caucasian counterparts.
We hope you join us to talk about breast cancer in our community.
