Gatekeepers can include anyone who is strategically positioned to recognize and refer someone at the risk of suicide.<\/p>\n<h3>As a QPR-trained Gatekeeper, you will learn to:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Recognize warning signs of suicide<\/li>\n<li>Know how to offer hope<\/li>\n<li>Know how to get help and save a life<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This training will be provided by MiraCosta College&#8217;s mental health provider Abby Burd, MSW, LCSW, PMH-C. The QPR Gatekeeper Trainings are funded by the County of San Diego HHSA, and are offered at <strong>no cost<\/strong> to attendees on behalf of the San Diego County Suicide Prevention Council.<\/p>\n<h3>Registration<\/h3>\n<p>The training is offered in person in H-112 for Palomar College employees during Flex Week. Employees can register on the P3D Portal using the <a href=\"https:\/\/myapps.microsoft.com\/index.html\">Microsoft 365 My Apps SSO platform<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is QPR?
