This workshop, funded by a grant from Janssen, is titled “Narrative Wellness” and is based on the model of Narrative Medicine taught at Columbia University. In the workshop, we will do several creative exercises to strengthen our close reading (slow reading/mindfulness) and to express ourselves through creative writing. Participants will discuss a piece of artwork (poetry or visual art) with no wrong answers, only observations, and then use a prompt to create a piece of expressive writing. Some participants will have time to share their work if they want to.
This Skillshop will be held in NB-1 and via Zoom. Registration is required to participate in this Skillshop. Skillshops are FREE and open to all Palomar College students. RSVP today!
