2022 Redistricting Public Input Summary

The District held multiple public hearings and forums to gather public input on the realignment of trustee areas within the district boundaries.

During the first public hearing meeting, the Governing Board adopted Resolution 21-21615 establishing criteria for consideration of adjusting trustee areas consistent with legal requirements, including reasonably equal population and Section 2 of the Federal Voting Rights Act, and which address other concerns and considerations important to the District.

The second public hearing at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, provided the Governing Board an opportunity to consider input regarding the criteria and composition of trustee area maps to be considered as part of the process in which the Governing Board approves the adjustment of trustee area boundaries.

A third public hearing was held remotely via Zoom on Saturday, January 29, 2022. There were two zoom meetings for public input regarding the redistricting of the district boundaries. The recordings can be found here:
