WHEREAS, the Palomar Community College District approved AP 3000 on 10\/22\/2021.
\nWHEREAS, AP 3000 commits The District to ensuring that all employees (staff, faculty, and
\nboard members) attend antiracism and equity professional development training and or
\nactivities each academic year.
\nWHEREAS, AP 3000 calls upon The District to allocate financial and human resources in a
\nmanner that emphasizes racial equity.
\nWHEREAS, AP 3000 requires the district to annually review policies and procedures to
\nensure that they comply with BP 3000 \u2013 Antiracism
\nWHEREAS, The District has not implemented mandatory antiracism\/equity training.
\nWHEREAS, The District has not prioritized the implementation of AP 3000.
\nBE IT RESOLVED, that the Faculty Senate calls upon The District to immediately and urgently
\ntake all steps necessary to implement commitments described in AP 3000, especially
\nthose related to establishing annual, mandatory antiracism\/equity training for all
\nemployees.
\nBE IT RESOLVED, that The Faculty Senate recommends and supports x% of contractually
\nnegotiated professional development hours be dedicated to mandatory antiracism\/equity
\ntraining.
\nBE IT RESOLVED, that an equivalent amount of mandatory antiracism\/equity training be
\napplied to employees that are not part of a bargaining unit.
\nBE IT RESOLVED, that the Faculty Senate calls upon The District to allocate sufficient financial
\nand human resources to compensate and support employees for mandatory
\nantiracism\/equity training.
\nBE IT RESOLVED, that the Faculty Senate calls upon The District to implement with complete
\ntransparency an annual review of progress towards these goals and other goals stated in
