Faculty Senate Goals 2005 \u2013 2006<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Overarching Goal:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

To increase faculty involvement in shared governance<\/p>\n

Operational\/Specific Goals:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Develop a process to meet Brown Act requirements for all subcommittees, councils, and boards\u2014a calendar web page.<\/p>\n

Continue writing a \u201cNotes from the Senate\u201d column in the LOC newsletter to increase communication between the Senate and faculty members.<\/p>\n

Define the role of the Senate Council and make any necessary constitutional changes.<\/p>\n

Complete a comprehensive review of the Senate Constitution.<\/p>\n

Increase communication between the faculty members of the planning councils and the faculty members of SPC.<\/p>\n

Finish the Faculty Manual and Board Policy handbook (ask for budget to provide needed support\u2014assigned time?)<\/p>\n

Streamline interaction between PFF and the Senate.<\/p>\n

Develop strategy to increase faculty involvement in governance.<\/p>\n

Communicate with faculty the importance of maintaining the integrity of the equivalency process.<\/p>\n

Review (and rewrite if necessary) the descriptions of the Senate Subcommittees.<\/p>\n
