This committee will advise the Senate on relevant technology matters:<\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsoplaintext\">1) discuss issues on technology related to student equity (access)<\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsoplaintext\">2) coordinate with faculty on technology governance committees<\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsoplaintext\">3) coordinate with curriculum committee on distance learning courses<\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsoplaintext\">4) discuss pedagogical issues relating to on-line courses and changes in technology<\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsoplaintext\">5) discuss issues of training for on-line instructors. See our Faculty Online Certification Information <a href=\"http:\/\/Instructors can qualify to appear on this list below\u00a0by meeting one the three criteria specified in the AP 4105 Distance Education Procedure: Evidence of successful completion of Faculty Senate-approved distance education pedagogy workshops.\u00a0\u00a0Currently, that means taking and passing the self-paced Palomar Online Education Training (POET) course. Evidence of coursework, certificates, and\/or degrees that focus on online teaching which were completed at other accredited higher education institutions. Evidence of a successful course design and facilitation as demonstrated by alignment with the criteria approved by the Faculty Senate. Currently, that is the OEI Course Design Rubric.\u00a0 See instructions for How to do a Self-Evaluation of a Course Please notice that the updated list includes more information but some areas marked unknown due to a lack or records.
