Billing<\/strong><\/p>\n

Billing for College vehicle usage will be processed at the conclusion of each month.\u00a0 Billing will be emailed after the first of each month to Fiscal Services for processing.\u00a0 Completed Vehicle Operator Trip Ticket Request forms will be emailed to the sponsoring Departments.<\/p>\n

Toll Roads<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Palomar College Facilities Department does not recommend using the toll roads. There is a charge to use the toll roads that is not covered by the District.<\/p>\n

Toll violations occur when drivers do not pay the proper toll at TheTollRoads.com <\/span>within 5 days of using the Toll Roads<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To meet TCA\u2019s obligation to collect tolls for every vehicle that uses The Toll Roads, a violation enforcement process is in place.<\/p>\n

As you pass through a tolled location, pictures of your vehicle are taken. If toll is not paid within 5 days, these photos of the vehicle and the plate information is sent to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), \u00a0The DMV provides the name and address of the registered owner.\u00a0 The registered owner (Palomar College) will receive a violation notice in the mail (usually within two weeks). The College will not pay any fines.\u00a0 All traffic and parking violations are considered personal and any fine or ticket must be paid promptly by the violator.\u00a0 The Facilities Office will contact the employee and their immediate supervisor through email informing them that it is their responsibility to pay this fine.\u00a0 They will contact the Fiscal Services\/Accounts Payable regarding the Notice of Violation and the employee\u2019s information for processing purposes.<\/p>\n

Each violation is assessed a $57.50 penalty in addition to the toll amount due. If you fail to respond to the first violation notice, a second violation notice will be mailed to you with an additional $42.50 penalty.\u00a0<\/p>\n
