{"id":673,"date":"2015-10-28T16:12:22","date_gmt":"2015-10-28T16:12:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/facilities\/?page_id=673"},"modified":"2025-03-18T11:40:40","modified_gmt":"2025-03-18T18:40:40","slug":"transportation-drivers-license-verification","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/facilities\/transportation-drivers-license-verification\/","title":{"rendered":"Transportation &#8211; Driver&#8217;s License Verification"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"auto-style1\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>All District drivers must have a valid California driver&#8217;s license.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"style32\" style=\"text-align: justify\">As part of the Facilities Office\u2019s and the College\u2019s Risk Management program, those employees who utilize Palomar College fleet vehicles for business related travel or are required to drive them as part of their job function must have their driver\u2019s license verified on an annual basis.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style32\" style=\"text-align: justify\">The continuation of this program is both a safety measure and a means for minimizing College liability for the unlawful operation of its vehicles.\u00a0 Please note that no employee and\/or volunteer shall operate a Palomar College fleet vehicle without having a driver\u2019s license verification check.\u00a0 An employee\u2019s use of a College fleet vehicle must be within the scope of his\/her employment and must be for official College use only.\u00a0 Personal use is not permitted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style32\" style=\"text-align: justify\">Having a valid license of the proper class is a condition of employment if required for an employee\u2019s job classification and job description.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style32\" style=\"text-align: justify\">The employee is responsible for the cost of the CDL; however the employee\u2019s department reimburses him\/her for these costs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All District drivers must have a valid California driver&#8217;s license.
