{"id":638,"date":"2015-10-28T15:41:43","date_gmt":"2015-10-28T15:41:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/facilities\/?page_id=638"},"modified":"2025-03-18T11:34:50","modified_gmt":"2025-03-18T18:34:50","slug":"signage-streets-freeways","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/facilities\/signage-streets-freeways\/","title":{"rendered":"Signage &#8211; Streets &amp; Freeways"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"style17\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span class=\"style20\"><span class=\"style18\">All freeway signage within the area of Palomar College is installed under the guidelines of the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dot.ca.gov\/hq\/esc\/oe\/project_plans\/HTM\/06_plans_disclaim_US.htm\"><span class=\"style18\">Caltrans Standards<\/span><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style17\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span class=\"style20\"><span class=\"style18\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/pio\/\">Public Affairs Office<\/a> works with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dot.ca.gov\/\">Caltrans<\/a> and local city jurisdictions to identify the size of street and highway signs allowed.\u00a0 This office also recommends locations where new signs are needed to assist people in locating the College campus and our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/about\/locations\/\"><span class=\"style18\">educational centers<\/span><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style17\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span class=\"style19\">Current roadway signage also indicates speed limits, traffic flow, pedestrian crosswalks, stop signs, yield signs.
