{"id":1198,"date":"2016-01-20T20:33:32","date_gmt":"2016-01-20T20:33:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/facilities\/?page_id=1198"},"modified":"2025-04-10T12:34:21","modified_gmt":"2025-04-10T19:34:21","slug":"cart-safety-training","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/facilities\/cart-safety-training\/","title":{"rendered":"Cart Safety &#8211; Palomar College Employee Training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">To become certified to drive a cart for the District, please watch the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/facilities\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/129\/2025\/04\/CampusCartSafetyTraining3.pptx\" rel=\"\">Cart Safety Training<\/a> PowerPoint presentation and take the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/facilities\/cart-safety-quiz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cart Safety Quiz<\/a> at the end.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Once the PowerPoint Presentation has opened, a yellow bar may appear at the top of your screen, if so, click &#8220;Enable Editing.&#8221; Then click &#8220;Slide Show&#8221; on the toolbar and click &#8220;From Beginning&#8221; to watch the training presentation. There is sound so please turn up your speakers. At the end of the training you will be directed to take the Cart Safety Quiz. Once you have submitted your Cart Safety Quiz, please e-mail\u00a0a copy of your CA driver&#8217;s license to Environmental Health &amp; Safety at <a href=\"mailto:ehs@palomar.edu\">ehs@palomar.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An additional driving test is required in order to drive the 6-Passenger Tour Carts. Driving Tests may be scheduled through EH&amp;S by phone at (760) 744-1150 x2147 or by email at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:ehs@palomar.edu\">ehs@palomar.edu<\/a>.
