Students must apply annually to participate in the DSIG program.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-gb6861-6a04bbad5a06b-0-0-1\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor\" data-index=\"1\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><h3 class=\"widget-title\">Grant Eligibility: <\/h3>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<h4>To be eligible, you must:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Have completed and submitted a CADAA for the 2024-25 academic year,<\/li>\n<li>Be an active recipient of a Cal Grant B for the 2024-25 academic year<\/li>\n<li>If not a Cal Grant B recipient, must have been eligible for a Cal Grant B<\/li>\n<li>Have enough financial need<\/li>\n<li>Maintain at least half-time enrollment per semester<\/li>\n<li>Meet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/fa\/satisfactory-academic-progress-sap\/\">Satisfactory Academic Progress<\/a>, and<\/li>\n<li>Volunteer with a university\/department or at a\u00a0qualifying organization\/s.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-gb6861-6a04bbad5a06b-0-0-2\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor\" data-index=\"2\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><h3 class=\"widget-title\">Qualifying Community or Volunteer Service Organization:<\/h3>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<ul>\n<li>A nonprofit as defined in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.<\/li>\n<li>Any federal, state, or local government entity.<\/li>\n<li>Any school or organization on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.csac.ca.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/2024-07\/List_of_service_organizations_7-10-24_ACCESSIBLE.pdf\">List of Service Organizations\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Qualifying Service Organizations not on the List of Service Organizations may <a href=\"https:\/\/www.csac.ca.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/file-attachments\/service_organization_registration.pdf\">register<\/a> with\u00a0CSAC<\/li>\n<li>Shall be established for a minimum of two years before the first date on which a participating student begins performing service hours.<\/li>\n<li>Service performed must be related to the student\u2019s field of study or serves to further community service or a community need.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-gb6861-6a04bbad5a06b-0-0-3\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor\" data-index=\"3\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><h3 class=\"widget-title\">DSIG Application Process:<\/h3>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p><strong>Space is limited. If you will be volunteering at Palomar College, please visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palomar.edu\/hr\/employees\/personnel\/volunteers\/\">Volunteers<\/a> page for additional requirements. You may begin completing and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.csac.ca.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/file-attachments\/service_hours_tracker.pdf\">tracking service hours<\/a> after you have been cleared.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-gb6861-6a04bbad5a06b-0-0-4\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor\" data-index=\"4\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><h3 class=\"widget-title\">DSIG Payment Process:<\/h3>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p>Payment can be requested after completing at least 150 hours of community or volunteer service. Hours must be completed between July 1<sup>st<\/sup> to June 30<sup>th<\/sup> of the academic year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.csac.ca.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/file-attachments\/2022-23_payment_request.pdf\">Payment Request<\/a><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Download the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.csac.ca.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/file-attachments\/2022-23_payment_request.pdf\"> Payment Request Form<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Complete Section 1 and 4.<\/li>\n<li>Financial aid will complete Section 2. Please email the Payment Request Form to <a href=\"mailto:studentjobs@palomar.edu\">studentjobs@palomar.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Have your qualifying organization or department complete Section 3.<\/li>\n<li>Email the completed form to <a href=\"mailto:dsig@csac.ca.gov\">dsig@csac.ca.gov<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>After submitting your Payment Request, you will be notified via email when payment has been approved and again when the check is ready for pick up. Payments will be sent directly to Palomar College and can take 4-6 weeks.
